Easy Valve Spring Service Without Removing The Cylinder Head

The ARES Overhead Valve Spring Compressor is compatible with valve spring retainers up to 1.32 inches in diameter, has a jaw opening range of 1.375 to 5.875 inches, and has a throat clearance of 5.875 inches, fitting most automotive engine applications. The compressor’s spring-loaded offset jaw design compensates for spring wind to keep the compressor level and clamped securely on the springs while in use, allowing you to easily remove and install valve springs without removing the cylinder head from the engine. NOTE: This tool is only for use on engines with exposed valve springs and is not compatible with engines with recessed springs.
